I am an experienced writer, editor, and creative director. In 2020 I launched Paper Covers Rock, a new writers and readers festival on Salt Spring Island, and in 2021 co-launched Saltine: A Salt Spring Zine to share the inspiring stories of fellow Islanders.

I balance my writing with tangible creative hobbies, from knitwear and sashiko whole-cloth quilting to sporadic pottery. Anything to keep my hands busy when they’re not typing!

Over the past 20 years I have worked in film for development and wardrobe departments, as a writer and editor for digital and print publications, and as a creative content and marketing strategist for various businesses, from skincare to ice pops to restaurants.

I love freelancing and especially appreciate the learning opportunities of writing on assignment. I live with my beautiful family among the salal and cedars of Salt Spring Island.
